Committed in supporting causes for children, the Philippine Children’s Fund of America, once again launched its annual project, "Balik Eskwela, Balik Pag-asa”, School Back Pack Distribution Project. Held last May 18, 2007,at Jollibee SM City Clark, the project is now on its 7th thriving year. More than 1,500 backpacks, basic school supplies were distributed through PCFA’s supportive partner agencies, Jollibee, Mc Donalds, RCPI, Mr.JJ and Chowking.

Yearly, PCFA responds to the needs of the underprivileged school children, helping the kids to acquire the tools they need to learn. Through the referral of the DSWD, the beneficiaries were from the low-income families who could hardly afford to provide the essential needs of their kids’ education. During the distribution, the kids also received their snack meal aside from the backpack and school supplies through the generosity of the different participating food chain stores partners.

The heartwarming response from the kids who benefited form this project is a way of expressing their gratitude from the simple gift that made a difference in their whole school year .

The distribution doesn’t end there we are still going to continue in providing more backpacks to lots of unfortunate children for their better education.
